Covered in Prayer, Encouragement for a Friend

Battle Cry

Hope in Troubled Times

In a day and age of uncertainty there is a steady hope that we can cling to… The Lord laid this poem/song on my heart some time ago, but it is still even more relevant today… Hope it blesses and encourages you! Would love to know your thoughts, how the Lord may use this in [...]

Wasteful Days & Wasteful Nights

As of recent, I collapse into bed utterly exhausted, spent; yet feeling I’ve accomplished very little. The deduction I’ve come to is this… it’s all been for naught. I’ve been trying to walk in my own strength, instead of relying on my Lord and Savior.

Sound hopeless? Perhaps.

Although we’re continually trying to expand his vocabulary repertoire, he has three solid [...]

I Know What I Know, What I Know

You are… The God of possibilities and fruition
You can… make the seemingly impossible come true
I must… purpose to Ask, and Do what You reveal to me
My heart… must be quieted
My ears… must be open
My feet… swift to move when led
I must… be certain I am only listening to Your voice
- and drowning out all the [...]

Keeping Christ in Christmas

by R.L. McGuire, 2006

Funny thing about putting this poem “out there”, is I pulled it from my journal, and realized that I’d written it exactly one year ago today… odd. timely? Hmmm.
